Emotional Intelligence
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is having self awareness of your own thoughts, feelings and emotions, as well as understanding someone else’s feelings and emotions. There is a misconception that EI is purely having empathy, however it is fare more than this. When asked, most people believe they have good self-awareness. However. a recent Harvard Business Review Report, showed that only 15% of people had true self-awareness (i.e. they see themselves in the same way as how other people see them).
This is not about being “nice” but broken down into 4 areas:
Self-awareness
Self-Management of emotions
Social awareness
Relationship management
We will start by doing an Emotional Intelligence questionnaire and then will work through all 4 areas above to provide you with the tools to manage and understand your emotions to give you emotional resilience and self-regulation of your emotions.
